We want to build agents who become genuinely difficult to replace

A brokerage can recruit quickly by advertising a high split and a logo. That is not the organization we are trying to build. Our thesis is that a durable mortgage career comes from combining technical judgement, disciplined execution, ethical client advice and the ability to create demand for your own expertise.

That is also why this Career Centre is public. You should be able to judge the quality of our thinking before giving us your information or signing an agreement. The same knowledge architecture that helps borrowers understand mortgages should help agents learn how to reason through them.

An agent should inherit infrastructure, not just a licence sponsor

The broader platform is being built around deep mortgage knowledge, calculators, structured case studies, professional resources and repeatable workflows. The objective is to reduce the amount of knowledge that lives only in someone's memory and make good reasoning easier to teach, review and improve.

Some internal agent-platform capabilities are still being built. We will not describe a planned feature as though it already exists. Where a capability is not live yet, the recruiting conversation should say so plainly.

This distinction matters: vision can be ambitious; recruiting claims must be current and verifiable.

For a new agent: the value proposition should be learning velocity

A new agent needs access to real file reasoning, document standards, lender strategy, submission feedback and escalation—not merely motivational calls. The goal is to shorten the distance between course knowledge and competent independent judgement without pushing the agent beyond their licence or experience.

Business development belongs in the same training system. We expect agents to learn how to create relationships, follow up professionally, explain value and build a database rather than wait for a brokerage to manufacture a career for them.

For an experienced agent: the question is leverage

An experienced producer should ask whether the brokerage makes good work easier: faster escalation, stronger knowledge access, cleaner operations, better digital infrastructure, credible brand assets and economics that remain understandable after every fee and deduction.

We do not publish a universal split on this page because compensation can depend on the role and arrangement and should be presented accurately when the commercial model is finalized. Compare net economics, services received, obligations and ownership of the client relationship—not a percentage in isolation.

Who is likely to fit—and who may not

The model is designed for people who want to learn, document their reasoning, accept compliance as part of professionalism, build their own relationships and use technology as leverage. Agents who want a licence parked somewhere with minimal engagement, or who view suitability and documentation as administrative friction, are unlikely to enjoy the environment we are building.

The recruiting goal is not to sign everyone. It is to create enough transparency that the right agent can recognize the fit early and the wrong agent can make a different choice before either side wastes time.

  • Ask hard questions before joining—we expect it.
  • No guaranteed-income claims.
  • No guaranteed-lead claims unless a specific written program says otherwise.
  • No pressure to describe planned technology as already available.
  • Commercial terms should be read in full before a transfer or sponsorship decision.

Career next step

Considering a brokerage?

Use the Career Academy to compare the profession first. If our operating philosophy fits what you are looking for, you can then introduce yourself through the dedicated agent application pathway.

Agent application

Frequently asked questions

Do you accept brand-new mortgage agents?

The application pathway is open to people at different licensing stages. Sponsorship or onboarding decisions depend on fit, licensing requirements and the brokerage's current capacity; submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.

Do you guarantee mortgage leads to agents?

No. We do not present leads or income as guaranteed. A serious agent should build a repeatable acquisition system even where brokerage-generated opportunities exist.

What should an experienced agent compare before transferring?

Compare net compensation, all fees, lender access, file support, compliance, technology, marketing and brand infrastructure, database and renewal treatment, contract terms and the actual transfer/onboarding process.

Can I apply before completing the Level 1 course?

Yes, you can introduce yourself while exploring the career or taking the course. You cannot deal or trade in mortgages until the applicable FSRA licensing and brokerage authorization requirements are satisfied.
